MILES McDONALD
Performance Evolution: 2025 → 2026
The data doesn't lie. In 12 months, Miles has transformed from a rider "surviving" the track to a rider "attacking" the podium.

Technical Analysis: Rock Creek Speed
Miles' consistency was the standout feature of his Round 1 performance. Unlike riders who "hero or zeroed," Miles stayed clean and found pace where it mattered.
- The "Snap" (Split 1): Clocking a 0:25.933 out of the gate, Miles beat 10 other riders in the opening sprint. The explosive power is there.
- The "Fitness" (The Finish): Miles held his position through the final motorway. While others faded, he charged the beam. This proves the physical conditioning is Top-10 ready.
- The "Contender" Jump: Closing to within 5 seconds of Xavier McNamara—a consistent podium threat—places Miles in the "Elite Development" bracket of his category.
Mission: Windrock Redemption (April 12)
We are going back to the track where it all started. This time, we arrive with 90 seconds of extra speed in the pocket.
Full CNS reset. 9+ hours of sleep. No mountain biking. Let the Rock Creek gains soak in.
Driveway "Slow-Speed" balance. Steep grass hill descents to master brake modulation. Practice "Track Stands" on inclines to prep for the Windrock rock gardens.
One final high-speed session. Focus on Pulse Braking (heavy braking before rocks, zero braking through them). End the day "hungry," not exhausted.
Practice: Find the "High Lines." Avoid the mud trenches. Follow Xavier or Druid for a lap to calibrate vision.
Race Run: Eyes 20 feet ahead. "Heavy Feet, Light Hands." Sprint until the beam.
